In this email: 9 Quick Juicing Tips + Recipe for Beginners Recent resources you may have missed - see below Dear romi, A new juicing friend recently wrote to ask why she was experiencing some digestive issues after starting to juice for the first time. This is quite a frequent question from folks new to juicing! So, in this email I would like to give a few quick tips for those of you new to this journey. Actually, the 'old hands' may also want to check these out, especially the reminders in numbers 6 and 8! :-) It is not unusual for your digestive tract to need some time to get used to juicing. Remember that this is something totally new for your system and the adjustment to it sometimes doesn't come overnight. Let's get into those 9 quick tips... 1. The idea is not that you start with something like a juice fast! It is best to introduce juicing slowly, allowing your digestive tract to get used to the juices. Perhaps even juice just once every two days or so to start with. Then daily and some folks juice twice a day. 2. I recommend working up to 8oz to 16oz (1 - 2 glasses) of juice a day. Although healthy, juices also pack some calories! :-) Enjoy too many juices and you are going to start gaining weight, rather than losing it. It can also affect your blood sugar, particularly if you go heavy on the fruits. 3. Start with the 'friendliest' veggies, such as carrots, celery and cucumber. You can also add an apple or a pear. That is usually quite safe (see recipe below). (CONTINUED AFTER THIS MESSAGE) Struggling With A Frustrating Weight Loss Plateau? How about... - getting to understand your #1 fat-burning hormone

Just a little at a time, allowing your body to get used to them. 5. Beets are also very powerful. Add them sparingly at first and rather discard the leaves. 6. Only add one new veggie at a time, in case something doesn't agree with you. This makes it easier to identify the culprit. 7. Rather drink your juice half and hour or so before a main meal, than after a heavy meal. I find that it doesn't agree with me if I drink it on a full stomach. 8. Sip the juice slooowly, in a sense chewing it. That gets the digestive juices flowing and may make it easier to tolerate the juice. 9. Please don't try wheatgrass until much later - if you want to use it at all! I personally don't like it, as it has such a strong flavor and is extremely potent. It simply doesn't agree with some people. Super-Easy Juice! 4 Carrots 3 Ribs of celery 1/3 Medium cucumber 2 Pears Method: 1. Discard carrot greens 2. Wash ingredients carefully 3.
