Don't miss this! - Rika Susan

(See the note below!)

Dear romi,

In the first part of this 3-part series, I told you more about how the xenoestrogens we are exposed to, can contribute to weight gain or difficulties in losing weight.

As promised, I now want to show you what it is about cruciferous veggies that can make them your secret weight loss ally!

I will also give you a list of the top choices you may want to target in your juicing recipes.

Cruciferous vegetables are rich sources of 2 particular phytonutrients that can help to neutralize the damaging effects of xenoestrogens in your body. These are called DIM (diindolylmethane) and I3C (indole-3-carbinol).

The presence of these 2 phytonutrients contribute to cruciferous veggies being uniquely positioned to promote fat loss.

Part 2 of 3
DIM and I3C may help your body in a number of ways, including:
  • Improving your metabolism
  • Detoxification
  • Hormonal balance
  • Blood sugar control
  • Reducing inflammation
  • Body fat reduction
By regularly enjoying juice recipes that include cruciferous veggies, you can equip your body with the tools it needs to metabolize xenoestrogens efficiently. These veggies may also help particular enzyme systems in your body to function optimally. In the process the detoxification pathways can be helped to function optimally.

Cruciferous veggies are of course also loaded with a variety of other nutrients and phytonutrients that are vital for maintaining good health in general and keeping cancer at bay.

So, your mom was absolutely right when she urged you to eat your broccoli!

Cruciferous Vegetables List To Use When Juicing For Weight Loss:

  • Broccoli (green or purple)
  • Bok choy (chinese cabbage or pak choi)
  • Collards greens
  • Cauliflower (white or purple)
  • Kale (green or purple)

Note: I recently created a unique juicing recipe program, Rika's JuicePicker. My aim was to give you easy, one-stop access to my own collection of favorite, delicious and healthy juice recipes!

Many of these also make use of veggies from the weight-loss boosting cruciferous list above. Best of all, I frequently add new recipes. Whenever I do this, the software automatically updates (see the screenshot)!

If you want to see a quick video of Rika's JuicePicker in action, you can watch it here:
